What are factors?

Factors are the numbers that are multiplied to get the multiple in a multiplication.

In the above example, 2 and 4 are the factors. Therefore, according to the above multiplication 2 and 4 are the factors of 8.

* Some numbers have only two factors. They are called Prime numbers.

* Some numbers have more than two factors. They are called Composite Numbers.

* But number one is neither prime nor composite because it has only one factor.

What are multiples?

Multiples are the answers or the products of multiplications that you get after multiplying the factors.

In the above example 8 is the multiple.
