Place value helps us determine the value of numbers. The value of a digit depends on its position in the number. E.g. Find the value of 2 in 215 940. Write 2 as it is and make the rest of the numbers zeros. 215 940 => 200 000. So, the value of the digit 2 is ‘200 000’. Remember not to keep gaps in between the digits when you type the answer. E.g. Type 20000, not 20 000
